London, April 23 (BNA): Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa praised the long-standing relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom.
He pointed to the positive impact of historical relations on the financial and economic sectors in particular, which strengthened joint partnership, stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation to serve common interests.
The minister made the remarks while meeting Baroness Joanna Penn, Chancellor of the Exchequer in the UK Government In the presence of Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Sheikh Fawaz bint Mohammed Al Khalifa.
The meeting was also attended by the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, Rasheed Mohammed Al-Maraj, the Executive Chairman of the Economic Development Board, Khalid Ibrahim Humaidan, and the Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office, Hamad Yaqoub Al-Mahamid.
During the meeting, the minister highlighted the steadily growing bilateral relations in all fields, and stressed the two countries’ joint keenness to enhance joint economic and investment partnership for more promising opportunities.
