Manama, October 9 (BNA) Dar Al-Osra Microfinance held its third board of directors meeting for the year 2021.
The Minister of Labor and Social Development, Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, presided over the session, in the presence of the members of the Board of Directors.
The Committee reviewed the Audit Committee’s report on risks and corporate governance, the bank’s financial statements, and the self-assessment report of the members of the Shari’a Supervisory Board.
The report praised the Family Microfinance House’s commitment to the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia in financial transactions, and its preservation of the integrity of these transactions from legal prohibitions.
Humaidan stressed the continuation of the bank’s efforts to provide easy financial packages to its customers from the lowest income groups in society and to individuals and families who established their small and home businesses.
He pointed out that the bank’s exchange and financing operations were not affected in general, despite the current conditions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
