Job purpose
The main purpose of the Electrical Design Engineer job is to design and develop products in accordance with customer specifications and applicable international standards.
Major Accounting
Design preparation.
Preparation of manufacturing details.
– Issuance of fabrication data.
– Updated drawing files.
– Take built drawings.
– Check charts.
Check the bill of materials.
– Maintaining quality records related to the job.
Follows all established procedures and work instructions.
Performs another task that may be assigned (only if trained for the task).
– Performs various tasks assigned to him by his direct manager
Communication and Labor Relations
– Authorized to make modifications to drawings when necessary to match requirements.
Health and safety responsibilities
Complies with applicable health and safety guidelines and procedures and ensures the health, safety and well-being of self and others
Identifies and reports to management on any health, safety or environmental risks and makes suggestions to address these risks and cooperate with supervisor’s instructions.
Knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Complete a course in design software, preferably AutoCAD or Microstation
Familiar with the design of electrical control panels and protection relay
Familiar with computer applications, such as MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
– Good communication, reading and comprehension skills
Familiar with the design of mechanical parts, such as enclosures, skids, etc.
– Design of panels and busbar system.
Awareness of national and international standards.
At least 3 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
Familiar with ISO 9000:2000 Quality Management System
