Egyptian President: Preserving national state necessary for countries’ future, prosperity

Jeddah, May 19 (BNA): President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi affirmed that preserving the national state and supporting its institutions is a necessity for the future and prosperity of nations.


He stated that it is now a duty and responsibility to rely on collective efforts, self-reliance and integration among all parties to formulate decisive solutions to various issues, the Saudi Press Agency reported.


President Al-Sisi delivered this message during his speech at the 32nd Arab Summit hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah.


The Egyptian president also stressed the importance of maximizing joint action to confront global crises and coordinating efforts to reform the global economic governance system.


In particular, he highlighted the need for international financing institutions and development banks to be more responsive to the challenges faced by the developing world.
