Down Syndrome Care Centre receives further support


Manama, Dec. 1 (BNA): A delegation from Seef Properties visited the Down Syndrome Care Center of the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the various programs and activities of the association and the center, and developments in the implementation of the initiatives and projects of the association for the Down Syndrome category, in community partnership with various relevant authorities.

A major project implemented by the association aims to rehabilitate, train and employ Bahrainis with Down syndrome in specialized jobs according to their abilities.

The program aims to improve the skills needed for this group, provide them with good job opportunities, and develop their professional levels.

Earlier this year, Seef Properties signed a memorandum of understanding with the association to employ a group of young Bahrainis with Down syndrome in Seef malls.

According to the memorandum, which is in line with the company’s commitment to promoting social responsibility, the new employees are currently working as receptionists at Seef Properties and customer service staff at Seef Mall – Seef District, Seef Mall – Muharraq and Seef Mall – Isa. town.

This procedure reflects the company’s belief in the importance of giving people of determination the opportunity to prove themselves in a fair and productive professional environment.

The Bahraini Down Syndrome Society was established in 1998, and it is a non-governmental humanitarian association concerned with caring for newborn children with Down syndrome through the Down Syndrome Care Center, which was established in 2001 with the aim of providing the necessary services for them. .
