Dortmund captain Reus extends deal to 2024-club

Berlin, April 27 (BNA): Borussia Dortmund club Marco Reus announced today, Thursday, the signing of a one-year contract extension until 2024.

The 33-year-old, a Dortmund youth player who joined the first team in 2012 from Borussia Monchengladbach, has become their impressive captain despite a career littered with injuries.

He has won the German Cup twice, but with Dortmund now one point clear at the top of the Bundesliga standings with five games remaining, the most skilful German midfielder of his generation is eyeing a first-ever league title.

With 161 goals in all competitions in his Dortmund career, he’s just 16 short of the club record, according to Reuters.
