Engineering Manager (fixed term contract until December 2022)

What will you do:
Prepare comprehensive forecasts to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation of the department.
Budget monitoring and expense control with focus on energy management, preventive maintenance and capital planning
Ensure the property is maintained in accordance with the corporate engineering department. This includes the fire, life and safety matrix, PPM and work order system.
Ensures that employees are properly trained in quality and service standards and have the tools and equipment in place and empowered to perform job duties.
Enhancing teamwork and service quality through daily communication and coordination with other departments and external parties.
Stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure that requests are responded to in a timely manner.
Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
Oversee the physical operations of the property, including maintenance, repair, and ordering of spare parts and supplies in a timely and efficient manner.
Your experience and skills include:
Experience in engineering management in the hospitality sector is a must, experience in Qatar is an added advantage.
Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development
– At least 8 years working experience in engineering field
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position in a large scale property
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent administrative and supervisory skills.
– Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering to include electrical systems, HVAC systems, emergency systems, and safe use of equipment
