Deputy Prime Minister inaugurates new school

Manama, Mar. 9 (BNA): The Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, inaugurated today Al-Izdihar Primary School for Girls in Hamad Town.

He revealed the commemorative plaque on the occasion of the official opening of the school, and was briefed on its modern building and facilities with new designs that serve the strategic goals of the Ministry of Education.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Juma, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, officials of the Ministry of Education, and representatives of the technical office of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the commitment to strengthening the educational infrastructure in line with the development momentum led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He pointed out that the government’s plans take into account the further expansion of the educational infrastructure to keep pace with the demographic and urban development throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He thanked the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) for the continuous support received by infrastructure projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain, especially the education sector projects, which embody the strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly State of Kuwait.

Dr. Juma expressed his gratitude to His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their support for the education sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for opening the new school.

The BD 4.550 million school, funded by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), includes thirty-three classrooms with a capacity of 1,155 students, in addition to other facilities.
