Deputy Prime Minister announces reopening of Bilaj Al Jazayer beach, reveals new brand identity

Manama, November 13 (BNA): Under the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Mumtalakat, today announced the reopening of Beach Beach Al Jazair.

On the sidelines of the opening ceremony, His Excellency Sheikh Khalid said: “We are pleased to announce the reopening of the Algeria Beach project, whose development comes within the framework of the comprehensive development of the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.”

The opening, which was organized by Edamah, was attended by the Governor of the Southern Governorate, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, and the editors-in-chief of local newspapers, where His Excellency Sheikh Khalid unveiled the new logo and branding of the destination.

Sheikh Khalid said that the first phase of the development, amounting to BD5 million, also covered coastal reclamation, parking lots, service facilities and a 1.2 kilometer long driveway. More facilities will be added in the future stages to transform the area into a small tourist city, in line with one of the pillars of Bahrain’s tourism strategy 2022-2026. The tourism industry is one of the most promising programs for development in Bahrain, and is an important part of a broader and comprehensive vision to support the Kingdom’s economic recovery plan.

His Excellency Sheikh Khalid added: “In implementation of the vision of His Majesty the King and the directives of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain is determined to continue to overcome the global challenges of the Covid-19 epidemic and turn them into investment opportunities in Bahraini citizens and provide them with a decent standard of living.”

His Excellency praised Edamah’s efforts, which continue to transform visions into reality. This ambitious project adds two important destinations to Bahrain’s tourism and conservation map. Avani and Tivoli Hotels will open by 2024, and will be the first hospitality projects in Plage Algiers.

Edamah plays a major role in real estate investment and development in the Kingdom through a set of strategic projects and initiatives aimed at improving long-term economic growth and encouraging investment in tourism. The goal is to strengthen Bahrain’s position as a global tourism destination, in line with the government’s vision and strategy.

Mumtalakat CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Edamah, His Excellency Khaled Al-Rumaihi, thanked His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his support of Edamah’s projects, including the Plage Algeria project, a major initiative that will have wide-ranging economic repercussions, and will contribute significantly to raising the contribution tourism. to the gross domestic product. His Excellency Al-Rumaihi referred to the support this project received from the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects, which he chairs. The committee gave priority to Belge Algiers, as one of the country’s main strategic initiatives.
