What will you do:
Reporting to Sous Chef, primary job responsibilities and functions include but are not limited to the following:
– Provide consistently professional, friendly and proactive guest service with the support of fellow colleagues
Ensure consistency in preparing all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus as per hotel recipes and standards
Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily working briefings
Ensure that all kitchen colleagues are aware of the standards and expectations
Coordinate daily with outlet chefs to maintain open lines of communication on guest feedback
– Conducting full daily checks on all places to ensure modernity and quality standards
Maintain proper product circulation in all coolers to reduce waste/damage
– Have complete knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils and equipment
Follow kitchen policies and procedures and service standards
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
Other duties assigned
Your experience and skills include:
Previous culinary experience required
– A guard’s papers or its international equivalent are required
– Diploma in culinary is preferred
Computer knowledge in Microsoft Window applications is an asset
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
– Very responsible and reliable
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
– Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
The ability to focus attention on the guest’s needs, and remain calm and polite at all times
