Deals and Operations Strategy Overview

Deal Strategy & Operations (DS&O) provides strategic and operational advice across the transaction continuum from deal strategy development to post-deal execution. Examples of services we undertake include advising funds on developing the right strategy, identifying issues and negotiating and value points, implementing the transaction smoothly, and implementing changes to deliver synergies and improvements after integration. responsibilities

The Deal Value Delivery (DDV) team is part of the DS&O business unit. Our rapidly growing practice is looking to double the team over the next 12 to 18 months. Focuses on providing support for potential actual transactions and assists clients in all aspects of transaction operational integration, both before and after completion.

As a Senior Manager on the DDV team with a focus on Human Resources, your responsibilities will include:

Responsible for understanding target business processes and risks related to HR (eg compensation, benefits, transfer of employment, organizational structure, design, HR processes, management and systems reviews)
Managing human resource diligence teams to ensure the quality of services and continuous development
Coordinate the post-deal team that manages the HR aspects of the transition (integration/segmentation) including developing compensation and benefits plans, assessing systems requirements, managing change and communication, developing operating model and organizational structure, developing HR policies and processes and job descriptions
Lead the successful delivery of projects, which may include multiple projects simultaneously, while leading a team of consultants
Formulate and understand key client issues, client processes and delegation, and set realistic expectations for client and team
Be the main point of contact for our clients to build relationships and with the project manager for day to day activities
– Managing project budget and finances
Structuring and ensuring the development of written reports that include relevant analysis, findings and recommendations
Manage client expectations and ensure that scope of work is completed in accordance with PwC’s Standards of Excellence
Building long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to identify value-added opportunities for existing and potential customers
Contribute to the broader business unit through business development initiatives, knowledge sharing, recruitment, mentoring, training, and other activities

requirements:

Years of Experience: At least 8 years of relevant experience in a strategy advisory firm, private equity, investment fund or other environments where similar skills have been developed
Demonstrated specific experience across all key areas of the HR/People workflow of a deal, focusing on activities in and after the deal both the “soft” (culture change, change management, communications and talent management) as well as the “hard” and more technical aspects of the deal (Organization Design, Personnel Transition and Industrial Relations)
Previous experience with HR managers and senior HR stakeholders in shaping HR/People activities across an integration or separation program
Ability to build collaborative working relationships at all levels, and establish credibility, both internally with senior management, and externally with our clients
Commercial exposure in negotiating and consulting directly with clients and demonstrating leadership in successful business development opportunities
– Strong time management and organization skills. Possess the ability to prioritize workload across team members with flexibility and ability to handle well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Technical skills including but not limited to: financial analysis, business performance analysis, reporting structuring and delivery
Experience including but not limited to: operational due diligence, post-merger integration, carve out, operational transformation
– Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Language skills: Fluent in English. Multilingual/Arabic a plus.
Ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East where the project dictates

education:

Minimum score required: Bachelor’s degree from a first-class university with high grades (top 10% in class and/or above 3.6/4 CGPA):
An MBA from top business schools is preferred, though not necessary
