Data Warehouse Engineer – Designer/Developer – AZURE – SQL – PYTHON
New and exclusive to eMagine Solutions We work with a global company that is embarking on a digital and data transformation program. As such, they have recently created MS Azure History and Data Lake repositories, to implement big data. As the project grows, we are now hiring a DW Engineer to lead the design, development and implementation of a new data warehouse environment and create a data lake to manage the big data environment. This will be a large role, and you will be expected to act as an authority and present to upper management (CTO, CIO, Head of Data, Head of Digital) your ideas and suggestions. You will also be expected to mentor and mentor junior team members.
As such, we are looking for you to complete the end-to-end data warehouse design and implementation, ideally using Dimension Modeling/Kimball methodology (a bottom-up approach where data sets are first created to provide reporting and analysis capabilities for specific business/functional operations and then These data sets can be combined together to create a comprehensive data warehouse for the enterprise) while emphasizing the value of the data warehouse to users as quickly as possible. Although the design can also be considered from top to bottom. The ideal candidate will have experience with OLTP tables and then design a DWH model from those tables and subsequently manage different datasets fed from DWH with multiple fact tables. You should also have good experience stacking Microsoft Tech with SQL, Azure, Power BI, and DAX. Some scripting knowledge is a must and our preference here is Python.
