Czech pair wins Australian Open doubles for 7th major title

Melbourne, Jan. 29 (BNA): Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejkova extended their Grand Slam winning streak to 24 matches with a 6-4 6-3 victory over Japan’s Shoko Aoyama and Ina Shibahara to win the women’s doubles title at the Australian Open. Sunday.

This is the Czech Republic’s seventh Grand Slam doubles title, as they broke their Japanese opponents in each of the first group matches.
