A new and innovative technical school in Abu Dhabi is looking for a skilled teacher in Home Economics/Culinary Arts. Duties include providing up-to-date guidance, maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment, and securing positive business and industry relationships. Job specification:
* Responsible for planning, managing and improving student learning, working with other team members.
* Collaborate with the team to implement and continually improve curriculum, learning strategies and assessment.
* To manage student learning and collaborate with other teachers.
* To manage all facilities and activities related to the achievement of student learning.
* Take a leadership role in modeling roles in behavior, attitudes, and learning behaviors of students.
* To develop and maintain teaching materials and assist in program quality assurance processes.
Required education:
* Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
* Excellent basic oral and written English
* IELTS 7 Academic for non-native speakers of English only – mandatory
* Arabic language feature
Required Experience:
* Experience (industry, university or craft) in a field related to food production programming (cook, baker, confectioner, gastronomy system)
*Minimum two years of relevant teaching/vocational training, skill development and enhancement
* Ability to teach: dough and block production, dish preparation, serving skills
* Cultural awareness of the region
* IT skills
* Practical skills in the relevant field including modern legal requirements and health and safety regulations
