Venture Search – Governance, Risk and Compliance – Abu Dhabi
Our client, a financial institution based within ADGM in Abu Dhabi, is looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to join his team. Candidates must have prior experience as an individual author of either a DFSA or FSRA regulated firm, Category 3 or higher.
Governance, Risk and Compliance Consulting Business:
? Assisting clients in setting up their regulatory license within ADGM or within ADGM, and obtaining
necessary regulatory financial services permissions;
? Oversee the establishment of our clients’ business in the form of regulatory compliance
perspective and creating a culture of compliance;
? Provide outsourced money laundering and money laundering reporting and compliance services to clients;
? Provide advice and guidance to the client on compliance and risk-related issues;
? Conduct compliance and risk audits/reviews of clients against regulations
requirements;
? Promote good relations with all relevant regulatory bodies;
? Assist clients to implement policies and procedures for local compliance and related risks
mitigate the risk of regulatory violations;
? Assist clients to conduct monitoring and control through a risk-based monitoring programme;
? Provide compliance, risk and governance training to relevant clients;
Business Development:
? To take responsibility and control the day-to-day performance of ECS AGDM and
Internal business growth.
? Support the development and implementation of a strategic business plan
? Develop and lead new business development activity
? Build broad partnerships with key stakeholders
? To add value to the business to ensure lower operating costs inline
With budget standards and adherence to appropriate organizational needs
Managing a Team of Risk, Governance and Compliance Officers:
? Appointing and managing a team to provide advice and guidance to clients on related issues;
? Lead, direct, direct, develop and evaluate the work of direct reports
? Ensure that the company’s core values are understood and that the team operates at the highest level
Team performance with high levels of personal accountability
? Managing employee performance by setting clear goals and expectations and following up
Progress against goals, ensuring timely feedback and addressing performance issues
And issues immediately
? Train staff when required and assist them in managing their workload/time management when
essential.
Candidate:
Skills and Experience Required:
? Minimum 10 years experience in regulatory compliance/money laundering reporting
? Work experience will be for DFSA, FSRA, PRA or other regulatory body
useful
? Previous management experience
? Business development ability
? Ability to build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders
