Manama, May 8 (BNA): Commander of the Coast Guard, Brigadier General Jassim Muhammad al-Qattam, received a delegation from the Global Program for Combating Maritime Crime of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for the Middle East and North Africa.
The meeting discussed issues of common interest in the field of maritime security and maritime training.
The delegation was briefed on the tasks and duties of the Coast Guard and its role in securing regional borders and protecting seafarers.
