China’s Gold Production Rises In The First Quarter Of 2023

Beijing, April 25 (BNA): China produced 84,972 metric tons of gold using domestic raw materials in the first quarter of this year, up 1,571 metric tons or 1.88% year-on-year, according to the latest statistics from the China Gold Association.



Among them, gold production from gold minerals was 66,506 metric tons, and gold production from non-ferrous metal by-products was 18,466 metric tons.



In addition, China also produced 29,901 metric tons of gold using imported raw materials in the first quarter, up 24.41% year-on-year. Thus, the total output of gold produced from local and imported raw materials reached 114,873 metric tons, an increase of 6.92%.
