Manama, October 7 (BNA) The Prime Minister of the Isle of Man Alfred Kanaan visited the Bahrain Institute of Pearls and Gemstones (Danat).

Kinan was briefed about the institute and the Bahraini pearl heritage that spans more than five thousand years.

The CEO of Danat, Nora Jamsheer, accompanied the guest and the accompanying delegation on an introductory tour of the laboratories specialized in testing pearls and precious stones.

During the tour, distinctive samples of pearls and precious stones were discovered in the exhibition library of the Institute, which is the largest of its kind at the regional level.

The visit focused mainly on future collaboration between the Institute and the Government of the Isle of Man, particularly in the area of ​​research related to enhancing the sustainability of the marine environment.

The two sides discussed the development of strategies that contribute to strengthening the joint partnership with regard to promoting the trade and industry of pearls and precious stones, based on the pioneering experience possessed by “Danat Laboratory” and the advanced capabilities of the island government. man.

Jamsheer highlighted the vital role that the institute plays in implementing the national plan to revive the pearl sector in Bahrain, in addition to its efforts to enhance confidence in the pearl trade in the Kingdom around the world.

She explained the world-class services provided by the institute, including education and training services and programs related to the examination and certification of pearls and precious stones.
