Chief Financial Analyst for a Government Entity in Abu Dhabi
Our client is a government entity in Abu Dhabi and one of the oldest financial institutions in the United Arab Emirates.
The role holder is responsible for creating deals, sourcing, performing due diligence, coordinating with multiple consultants, structuring, and negotiating contracts. Monitor portfolio companies and overlook value creation plans.
Work on creating deals, preliminary screening and evaluation of new investment opportunities
Participation in commercial negotiations regarding the structure and terms of any potential investment;
Conducting due diligence on investment opportunities, as well as liaising with third party service providers as appropriate; –
Preparing and writing internal investment approval papers and presenting them to the investment committee
Oversee the legal implementation of any approved transaction, working closely with internal and/or external legal counsel.
Monitor and evaluate investment performance against key objectives, including management and reporting of potential business/investment risks as they arise;
– Provide (external) administrative support to assist investors as required;
Develop and maintain an active portfolio of investment opportunities
Participate in setting the budget and target investment.
Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports
Support the implementation of the department’s strategy in line with the department. Vision and action (1-3 years) plans.
Monitor and guide junior team members in aligning their activities with strategy and sectoral objectives.
Providing practical insights and inputs to develop sectoral budgets
Adhere to departmental budgets and ensure optimal use of all available resources.
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics. Master’s degree with relevant major is preferred.
– Certificates like CFA
– Fluent in spoken and written English
6-9 years of relevant experience in private equity, financial analysis or asset management preferred
– From one to two years in the position of team leader or a similar position in seniority
