Chelsea wins third consecutive Women’s Super League title

London, May 8 (BUS): Sam Kerr’s two goals helped Chelsea win the Women’s Premier League title for the third time in a row on the final day of the season with a 4-2 victory over Manchester United on Sunday.

The comeback against United after falling twice ensured that Arsenal did not outsmart Chelsea with a 2-0 win over West Ham at the same time.

Martha Thomas’ header for fourth-placed United was canceled by Erin Cuthbert, and Ella Ton scored his goal in the 25th minute, followed by Kerr’s goal, which he netted one minute after the start of the second half.

Guru Ritten’s close-range goal gave Chelsea the lead for the first time in the 51st minute, and another ball from Kerr in the 66th minute sealed Emma Hayes’ fifth Premier League title.

Chelsea could add another title next Sunday in the FA Women’s Cup final against Manchester City, who finished third in the World Series of Poker, to finish last in the Champions League.
