BTEA organises Bahrain’s participation in ATM Exhibition

Manama, May 7 (BNA) The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) is participating in the Arabian Travel Market 2022, the leading international event in the field of travel and tourism, which opens the door to business potential in the Middle East region both domestically and abroad. ATM 2022 will be a hybrid event, which will take place in person on May 9-12 and then take place online a week later from May 17-18. The focus will be on “The future of international travel and tourism.


The authority is participating in this international exhibition with a special pavilion that includes the national airline “Gulf Air”, in addition to 19 leading tourist facilities in Bahrain, such as hotels, resorts and tour operators, with the aim of establishing a distinguished presence among 111 countries. Participation in the event. The pavilion is expected to attract a large crowd of more than 20,000 visitors, in addition to studying the possibilities of cooperation and partnership between Bahraini participants and about 1,500 exhibitors.


Gulf Air’s participation in the Bahraini pavilion seeks to reconfirm its leading position among regional and international airlines by presenting its services to visitors of exhibitions and participating companies, as well as its expansion plans and development strategies.


Fatima Al-Serafy, Executive Vice President of BTEA, stressed the importance of Bahrain’s participation in the upcoming Arab travel market, especially to explore more opportunities for the tourism sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, to speed up its recovery from the effects of the pandemic, and increase its spread. competitiveness, as well as to present Bahrain’s tourism strategy 2022-2026.

“The presence of such a large number of Bahraini tourism facilities in the exhibition gives visitors from the region and other countries an idea of ​​the integration and harmony between the diverse components of the tourism industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain, such as airlines, reservation offices, tour operators, hotels, resorts, restaurants and other facilities.” Al-Serafy said


“During the exhibition, we will explore current developments in the tourism sector, including technology, transportation, sustainability, and international events, with tourism experts from around the world, and how to move the industry forward, investing all of this in the tourism sector for further recovery and growth.” Al-Serafy added.


The ATM 2022 will feature several events and seminars that will last for four days and feature a variety of speakers from the travel industry to help visitors gain better insight into the latest industry trends. This includes the ATM Global Stage, Travel Tech, Influencer Speed ​​Networking, and ARIVAL @ ATM Dubai Forum which features unmissable sessions covering digital, technology, distribution and more for tour operators, activities, attractions and experiences.
