BNA director-general hails Umm Al Qura newspaper

Jeddah, March 31 (BNA) The Director General of Bahrain News Agency, Abdullah Khalil Buheji, attended the ceremony held by the Saudi Ministry of Information on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the publication of Umm Al-Qura newspaper.

The celebration was held in the holy city of Makkah under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and in the presence of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal.

Buhiji conveyed the greetings of Minister of Information Affairs Ali bin Muhammad Al-Rumaihi to his Saudi counterpart, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, and also conveyed congratulations on the celebration, which documents a historical stage in the march of the Saudi press and media.

He praised the pioneering role played by Umm Al-Qura newspaper during the past century in supporting development efforts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Director General of the Tunisian News Agency praised the newspaper’s vision and mission, which is based on professionalism and commitment in light of press and media cadres known for their efficiency and creativity.

He praised the enlightened and advanced vision presented by the media in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which supports joint Gulf action and expresses comprehensive development in all fields.

He wished the leading Umm Al-Qura newspaper, its management and affiliate media, technical and administrative cadres continued success and professional success.
