Manama, October 12 (BNA) The first club affiliated with the Bahrain Judo Federation was officially opened.
Dr. Faisal Khalid Kanoo, Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Martial Arts Council, inaugurated the Judo Arena, in the presence of UFC GYM owner Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa.
The new center is in line with policies adopted by the General Sports Authority (GSA), led by the First Vice President of SCYS and President of the British Olympic Committee Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to use sport to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Kanoo stressed the importance of the new center, which, according to him, will contribute to promoting the culture of sports among the community and supporting national teams capable of representing Bahraini judo in competitions.
UFC GYM owner Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa praised the role of BMAC, led by the Vice President of the General Sports Authority, His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, in developing combat sports in Bahrain.
