Manama, May 15 (BNA): The Bahrain International Circuit, “the home of motorsports in the Middle East,” returned the heat to the runway on Friday with its latest run of exhaustion.
The event attracts speed enthusiasts and fans every time it takes place, and is a highlight of the BIC calendar.
Participants come from far away to give a fascinating display of white smoke billowing in the Vehicle Dynamics area of the City Information Center to the crowds of spectators in the stands.
Participants registration and vehicle inspection will take place from 4-6 pm on Friday.
Given the recent popularity of burnout events at the BIC, those interested in participating are advised to register early to avoid disappointment, the BIC said.
Participation fee is 8 BD per driver and whoever wants to take part in the thrill can do so for 5.5 BD.
All participant vehicles must meet certain eligibility criteria before they can be allowed to participate.
Spectators will be able to watch each event for BD2, with tickets available for purchase upon arrival.
Gates will open to the public at 5pm, then the burnout procedure will start at 6pm and run until 11pm.
