BIBF conducts practical simulation training for Saudi Dar Al-Hekma University

Manama, March 18 (BNA): The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), the leading provider of training and development in the region, concluded a practical simulation program entitled “Diploma in Trade and Financial Markets Analysis – Level 5” for a group of students and graduates of Dar Al-Hekma University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


Through the five-day program, the BIBF introduced students from banking and global markets majors to the latest financial technologies, in line with international best practices and standards.


The program was implemented through a realistic simulation of the workplace, as an innovative training method, where the participants were rotated to represent the different roles in a financial institution, and the mechanism of introducing them to what is happening in investment banks, and what asset managers and wealth fund managers or hedge funds do in terms of duties, tasks, jobs and decisions .


On this occasion, the Director of the BIBF Institute, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Hamid Al-Sheikh, expressed his happiness with this cooperation with Dar Al-Hekma University, which reflects the confidence that the institute enjoys among academic and training institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, indicating that the BIBF Institute continues its training activities in cooperation with many of commercial establishments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through bilateral agreements, which contributes to qualifying Saudi national cadres in various sectors and providing them with the required technical, administrative and technological skills, especially in the banking and financial fields. The Head of the Banking and Financial Sciences Department at Dar Al-Hekma University, Dr. Karima Sassi, expressed her happiness at implementing this program for university students at the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies, which contributed to providing them with the practical skills required for work. As well as enhancing confidence in their abilities in management and decision-making.


Dr. Sassi also praised the advanced academic and practical offerings of the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies and its specialized programs in cooperation with major international academic and training institutions, which earned it an excellent reputation at the regional and global levels.


Regarding the program, the head of the Center for Banking and Financial Services at the BIBF Institute, Zaiba Askar, explained that the program provides new graduates with practical skills that qualify them for the labor market, in addition to simulating real work sites, and providing them with new experiences on how to do so.
