Manama, May 29 (BNA) The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Samir Nass, and the Acting CEO, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sada, held a meeting with a Brazilian delegation led by Admiral Flavio Rocha, Brazil’s Secretary for Strategic Affairs.
Nass praised the long relationship between Bahrain and Brazil, praising the results of the historic visit of President Jair Bolsonaro to Bahrain in November 2021, and the increasing cooperation between the two friendly countries in all fields.
He highlighted the growing volume of trade between Bahrain and Brazil, which exceeded $2.2 billion in 2021, indicating the Bahraini private sector’s keenness to expand partnerships with its Brazilian counterparts.
The Chairman briefed the delegation on the business environment in Bahrain and the benefits for foreign investors, describing renewable energy, food security, information and communication technology and tourism as potential areas for business cooperation.
Admiral Flavio Rocha confirmed his pride in the strong draw between Bahrain and Brazil.
He referred to his country’s labor and social security reforms, updated business law and regulations, and major development and infrastructure projects that the country is witnessing, which include invaluable opportunities for foreign investors.
The Chamber organized meetings between the Brazilian delegation – constituent companies in the sectors of logistics, food, agriculture, industry and trade – and their local counterparts.
