Bayern end Freiburg’s unbeaten run 2-1 to go clear in Bundesliga

Berlin, November 6 (BNA): Bayern Munich ended Freiburg’s unbeaten start to the Bundesliga season with a 2-1 victory on Saturday and four points clear at the top for at least a few hours.

Leon Goretzka and Robert Lewandowski scored for the nine-time champion who has so far scored 100 league goals in 2021, one goal short of Cologne’s record number 101 in 1977.

The Freiburg brave earned a consolation goal in injury time from Janick Haberer, reports the Associated Press International.

Bayern is four points ahead of Borussia Dortmund, who played the late match with last season’s runner-up RB Leipzig.
