Barcelona beats A-League All-Stars 3-2 in Down Under debut

Sydney, May 25 (BNA) Barcelona’s first game in Australia ended with a 3-2 victory over the A-League All-Star Team on Wednesday, with substitute Ansu Fati scoring the winning goal.

With 70,174 spectators in front of the Olympic Stadium, Barcelona led 1-0 at the end of the first half after Ousmane Dembele scored in the lower right corner in the 34th minute, the Associated Press reported.

Rene Pescopo equalized for the All Stars in the 47th minute, and the hosts took the lead when Adama Traore scored in the 53rd minute. But his rival of the same name – Adama Traore – equalized for Barcelona in the 72nd minute before Fati won five minutes later.

The list of absent Barcelona players was long. The team was absent from the injured Gerard Pique, Pedri, Sergio Roberto, Eric Garcia and Serginho Dest, who all remained behind.
