Bahrain, US relations reviewed

Manama, Jan. 26 (BNA): The Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Ahmed Abdul Wahed Karatah, received the US Ambassador to Bahrain, Stephen C. Bondy.

Karata praised the advanced levels of coordination between the two countries, stressing the Parliament’s keenness to enhance cooperation in a way that meets common interests.

The second deputy chairman of the council praised the US role in the region and its constant interest in supporting various international efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability in the GCC countries, the Middle East and the world.

The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation, especially parliamentary ones, strengthening the frameworks of historical relations and strategic partnership that unite the two countries, and ways to develop them.

The ambassador affirmed that the bilateral relations were and still are close and important, stressing that the United States values ​​this relationship and sees the Kingdom as an important partner and a major strategic ally outside NATO.

Ambassador Bondi praised Bahrain’s role in supporting security, peace and stability in the region and the world.
