Bahrain medical aid consignment arrives in Sudan

Manama, May 24 (BNA): A Gulf Air plane, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, arrived at Port Sudan International Airport, carrying urgent medical relief aid.

The shipment was dispatched in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Upon its arrival at the airport, the plane was received by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Sudan, Abdullah Rabia Saeed Rabia, and senior Sudanese officials.

The ambassador affirmed Bahrain’s original approach in supporting brotherly and friendly countries to overcome various challenges.

The aid shipment reflects the fraternal relations between the two countries and peoples.

The ambassador indicated that urgent medical relief aid will be distributed to hospitals to compensate for the shortage of medical equipment and support the Sudanese people to overcome the crisis.
