* Summary of the general purpose of the job
Responsible for ensuring manpower and equipment are arranged to handle operations for each shift. Allocate and deploy manpower in the respective regions as per the requirements. Ensure that all staff are well aware of customer airline requirements and act accordingly. Ensure that all operational personnel are working towards achieving baggage key performance indicators (KPIs) that adhere to safety requirements
* Work duties
1. Set up assignment for Baggage Team Leader (BTL), GHA III, GHA II and GHA I for Arrival and Departure flight
2. Ensure that all assigned personnel are informed of their work areas as per the assignment plan and prepare the assignment sheet which must be signed by the personnel so that they are aware of their assignment.
3. Provide the actual workforce number for the baggage handler when shifting to submit other reports to higher authorities.
4. Prepare baggage arrival timing report according to the handled arrival baggage and send it to baggage handler on shift for further escalation and reporting.
5. Ensure that BTLs in the baggage hall area are fast at BRS and that bags are delivered to aircraft on time.
6. Ensure adequate manpower/equipment is available at transfer, arrival, departure and in the VIP baggage area.
7. Be sure to report any kind of inconsistencies or irregularities related to baggage handling to the baggage handler on duty immediately
8. Coordinates with HIA, HIA Security, HIA Security and Rapid Response Security on a daily basis in relation to operational duties such as flight assignments, belt change, system shutdown, bag requests, and damage or open bags to ensure immediate attention is provided by the required team
9. Coordinate with the Baggage Hall Supervisor/Officer for all operational duties related to belt planning, early clearance for baggage storage, and internal and external stakeholder feedback/issues during shift
10. Monitor the early storage of the bags and make sure the capacity is always less than the maximum
11. In the event of any conflict, highlight the baggage handler during the shift.

* Minimum educational qualifications:
Essential • High school qualification (eg, O-level, Year 10, minimum compulsory education) • Experienced – at least 5 years of job-related experience
OR • Professional/diploma or university degree or equivalent (type of diploma based on role) • Experienced – At least 4 years of relevant experience.
* Work knowledge and skills required:
Basic:
• Baggage settlement system. • Able to communicate effectively and politely with employees and clients. • Fully conversant with all office applications on PC. • Good knowledge of written and spoken English. • Acceptable training in handling flying slopes / handling loads. • Ability to interpret and apply all relevant SITA messages. • Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. • Ability to train and develop the skills of subordinates. • The ability to promote teamwork among team members.
He prefers:
• Driving license is an advantage. • Supervisory skills training is an advantage.
