Attorney General chairs GCC meeting

Manama, October 4 (BNA): The Attorney General, Dr. Ali bin Fadl Al-Buainain, chaired today, remotely, 13 members.NS Public Prosecution meeting in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Nayef bin Falah Al-Hajraf, attended the virtual session, which was held via video conference.

Dr. Al-Buainain praised the efforts made to implement the decisions of the Public Prosecution, highlighting Bahrain’s latest legislation regarding alternative provisions, urgent procedures and mediation in criminal cases within the framework of the Kingdom’s efforts to protect children and preserve their rights.

Prosecutors discussed key issues related to judicial cooperation and child protection during investigation and performance evaluation.

The Public Prosecution Office in Bahrain has defined its practices in implementing alternative provisions for children and protecting them from abuse, in addition to coordinating between law enforcement authorities.

At the end of the meeting, a number of decisions were issued aimed at supporting the work of the Gulf Public Prosecutions.
