Job description and summary
A career in our IT audit services practice, within Risk and Compliance Services, will provide you with the opportunity to work with a team that provides clients with broad risk and controls technical knowledge and industry-specific expertise. You will have the opportunity to develop a comprehensive approach to risk that protects businesses, facilitates strategic decision-making, and enhances efficiency by assisting management in assessing project risks and controls.

Our team uses current and emerging technologies to assist clients with financial reporting, compliance and operational controls. You will provide services related to controls related to financial reporting, compliance and operational processes, including business procedures and IT management controls.

The role sits within a rapidly growing part of the BCR team at PwC within the risk assurance practice in the Middle East. You will be an integral part of the team responsible for delivering IT audits across a range of sectors. You’ll have access to the latest training and development tools and the support of PwC’s broader network
Identify key risks and controls, recommend improved controls, implement controls readiness projects and define and evaluate controls in IT infrastructures, security, change management, access management, operations, software development, and in business processes related to financial reporting. You will also be required to draft audit reports for distribution to Customer Management
Constantly developing your skills, paying close attention to trends in technologies and the impact on our clients so that you can help conduct successful IT controls audits and identify any other high value propositions for our clients
Demonstrate broad-based project management skills related to IT audit projects, including developing project plans, budgets and schedules of deliveries
Demonstrate broad capabilities as a team leader, including creating a positive environment; Monitor team workloads while meeting client expectations; Respect the quality of work and life of team members; provide frank and meaningful feedback in a timely manner; Keeping the leadership informed of progress
The role also requires the candidate to be able to collaborate with colleagues across different competencies within the company (eg ERP Assurance, Data Assurance, Cyber ​​Security, Enterprise Resiliency)
The role also requires working with colleagues across all Middle East offices on client audits and internal initiatives as well as with international teams when required.
The role includes broader responsibilities that include collaborating with the engagement leader and manager of the external or internal audit teams to approve budgets, ICT audit findings and their impact on the overall audit and making contributions to the audit strategy/plan
You will be required to possess strong IT audit skills and work in close collaboration with the financial and internal audit teams

requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role within Big 4 (or equivalent)
Basic Arabic language
Practical knowledge of IT general controls concepts in the areas of system development, change management, computer operations, software and data access, experience in defining and evaluating business process controls and linking to IT systems
Understand the fundamentals of IT security across multiple areas including security management, security architecture, access control, application development, process security, physical security, cryptography, communications and networking, business continuity planning, investigations and ethics
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related fields such as computer science, information systems auditing, and accounting.
Professional Qualifications: Preference should be given to candidates with CISA qualifications, but qualifications such as CISA, CISM, PMP and ITIL Practitioner may also be considered.
Relevant experience in auditing IT risks and controls such as accessing software and data, changing controls and computer operations, understanding business processes, performing testing of automated controls for business processes
Understanding of COBIT 5, ISO 27001, Project Management Standards, IT Service Management Framework, Server Operating Systems (windows, Linux/Unix), Databases (Oracle, SQL)
– Preference will be given to hands-on experience of any of the leading ERP (Oracle or SAP) systems
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload with flexibility and ability to handle well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Prove your IT skills in the following programmes [excel, word, PowerPoint etc.]
Language skills: Fluent in both English and Arabic
The ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East region where the project dictates.
Experience with process, policies and procedures
Knowledge in governance and compliance is welcome
