Co-Manager – Remote Site
We are currently looking for an experienced Associate Director – Cost/Commercial Management to join our team to work on newly awarded projects across different sectors and different locations within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a location based role. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing team on high profile projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Technical knowledge and experience
Contracts and subcontracts – preparation, review and evaluation
Knowledge of the design process in the project life cycle
– Knowledge of site operations process
– Contracts and commercial correspondence
Preparing financial models and pricing proposals
Understand and experience project and program planning, claims preparation and evaluation
– Manage changes, claims operations and claims preparation
High-level commercial experience in the design and construction of at least one major project
– negotiation skills
Risk management process and practice
Excellent ability to develop successful client relationships
Basic criteria
Certificate in a related field (Quantity Surveying).
Professional membership (MRICS, MCIOB, MCIArb).
Minimum 15 years before and/or after contract Relevant ability in cost and commercial management.
Good general law, contract, commercial and fiduciary understanding, at least 20 years post qualification experience.
You must have had a consultant and/or client background for at least 10 years.
You must have at least 4 years of experience in the Middle East.
In-depth knowledge and experience in cost and commercial management of projects in both pre-contract, bid/purchase and post-contract phases.
Construction experience in the Middle East is an added benefit, delivery experience in Saudi Arabia will be special.
Excellent in written English for preparing contracts, task orders, letters of contracts, notices and communications.
Good negotiation skills to agree contracts with clients, contractors and subcontractors.
Previous experience in government departments/client side and/or contractor roles.
Use and understand financial control systems for large corporate projects.
The internal governance procedures of large companies will be an additional factor.
Attention to detail and ability to review invoices and contracts prior to issuance.

Knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s general/governmental/contract law.
Knowledge of PMIS systems.
Interpretation of contract and advice/action.
– Managing clients and stakeholders.
Reporting at the executive level.
Internal project and financial management.
– Internal Governance Department.
– Resource Management.
Manage and assist technical teams to prepare task orders/work packages.
Desirable internal accounting experience.
Maintain revenue, cost, margin and headcount forecasts.
– Reporting of project performance.
– Raising the level of commercial performance of the project – revenues and costs.
– Ensure that watches captured are shipped correctly and billed on time.

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management from a recognized university or Bachelor of Laws.
Must have previous experience in FIDIC contracts.
Strong contractual, commercial and financial knowledge.
Project management acumen.
– Good communication skills.
Ease of handling client presentations/reports.
