What will you do:
Assist the Laundry Manager in managing aspects of the laundry process, ensuring service standards are followed.
– Assist in managing and organizing the laundry process.
Conduct monthly linen inventories and inform appropriate leaders of the same.
Ensure that the highest standards of hygiene, maintenance and safety are achieved in the department and throughout the hotel.
– Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms.
Train and train colleagues along with the Laundry Manager to ensure that Accor standards are well implemented.
Check all statements of accounts from the external supplier and report any discrepancies.
Inspect all machinery and equipment and report any maintenance problem.
Responsible for payroll and overtime papers to be submitted to the payroll master.
Your experience and skills include:
– Experience in laundry department in hospitality is required
Fluent in English (spoken and written), any additional language is an added advantage.
Previous leadership experience of at least 2 years in a similar position in a large scale property
– Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving abilities
– Responsible and very reliable
A pragmatic approach is necessary
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
– Well versed in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
– Excellent time management skills
– Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
Clearly communicate ideas, actions, and opportunities with strong communication skills
