Assistant Director of Traffic and Mass Transport (Qatar World Sporting Event 2022 – Accommodation Services) (fixed-term contract until January 2023)

What will you do:

The director of traffic and transport of the group is informed of all matters related to transport
Assists in implementing a strategy for project traffic and transportation activities with up to 600 vehicles
Directs activities related to dispatch, routing and tracking of all vehicles
– Monitors traffic regulations and reports rerouting during road closures
Dealing with all joint transportation service providers (drivers and vehicles)
– Supports the daily operation of the Traffic and Transportation Department
– Monitors transport tracking system
Maintains good relationship with all relevant departments
Operational, training and quality standards abroad
Ensures that policies and procedures are followed
Plans periodic inspection of all vehicles and conducts safety audits
The observers implemented the procedures related to the transport
Ensures that all drivers and operators have valid, correct and up-to-date qualifications
– Suggests ideas to reduce the risk of vehicle overload
– Organizes the routine repairs and maintenance of vehicles

Your experience and skills include:

– At least 6 years of experience in the traffic and transportation sector, preferably the Middle East
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position in a large scale environment
Fluent in English (spoken and written), any additional language is an added advantage
Very strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving abilities
Strategic and creative approach
– Responsible and very reliable
A practical approach is essential
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
– Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
Confident in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Multicultural awareness and the ability to work with people from diverse cultures
Flexible and able to effectively embrace and respond to change
– Ability to work independently and with good initiative in a dynamic environment
Self-motivated and energetic
