Manama, April 28 (BNA) Customs officers at Bahrain International Airport arrested an Asian for trying to smuggle 167 capsules filled with drugs into the Kingdom of Bahrain in his intestines.
The Public Prosecution opened an investigation upon receiving a report from the Anti-Narcotics Directorate. She interrogated the suspect, who confessed to the charge. He said he swallowed the capsules to smuggle them into the country and get some money in return.
The Public Prosecution ordered his detention pending investigation. Measures are also taken to determine the scope of criminal responsibility, to reach suspects abroad, and to take the necessary criminal measures against them.
