Cairo, April 30 (BNA): Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Assoumi, praised the efforts of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence in spreading the culture of tolerance. He stressed the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and keenness to promote religious freedom, interfaith dialogue and peaceful coexistence.
This came during a speech by the Speaker of the Arab Parliament during the fourth plenary session of the Arab Parliament of the third legislative term, held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo. The King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence was honored with the Shield of the Arab Parliament in recognition of its efforts. The shield was handed over by the Vice President of the Center, Abdul Wahhab bin Youssef Al-Hawaj.
Al-Assoumi stressed the important role of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence in promoting tolerance and peace and rejecting hatred, violence and extremism. He praised the support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Vice President of the Center emphasized the role of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence in promoting peaceful coexistence at the international level through many initiatives.
