Ambassador discusses Schengen visa exemption procedures

Brussels, May 24 (BNA) The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Belgium, Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jaber Al-Dosari, met with the Head of the Visa Police at the General Authority for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission, Dimitri Giotakos, at the Commission’s headquarters in Brussels.

During the meeting, the ambassador stressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to enhance cooperation with the European Union in various political, economic and security fields.

He praised the Kingdom’s distinguished record in the areas of protecting and promoting human rights, sustainable development, pioneering contributions to combating money laundering and combating terrorism, and effective partnership with the international community in promoting security, stability and peace at the regional and international levels. .

Al-Dosari also discussed the stages and technical procedures used to exempt Bahraini citizens from prior visa requirements when visiting the European Union (Schengen) countries, in addition to regional and international issues of common interest.
