Alba wins RoSPA’s President’s Award


Manama, May 23 (BNA): Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) won the prestigious President’s Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), which came in conjunction with RoSPA’s tenth consecutive win of the Gold Medal. For its outstanding performance in safety and health in 2022.

Ali Al Baqali, Chief Executive Officer of Alba, received the award on behalf of the company during the RoSPA Awards Ceremony on May 16 at ExCel London and in the presence of Alba’s Director of Safety and Health, Mohammed Khalil Saeed.

Al-Baqali said that the award confirms the company’s firm belief in the “Safety First, Safety Always” program.

He added, “Our culture of safety did not come about by accident, but is a work in progress coupled with the belief that safety is a journey, not a destination.”

“Thanks to our dedicated employees, we are able to celebrate this award that distinguishes Alba in an exclusive list of world leaders in safety and health practices.”

RoSPA holds the UK’s longest running safety and health industry awards, with nearly 2,000 participants from all over the world competing each year to achieve their accolades.
