Beirut, May 14 (BNA) The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union mourned the death of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the late President of the State.
In a statement, the Federation affirmed that the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, God willing, is the best successor to a great predecessor, noting that the deceased left a rich record of achievements, and laid solid foundations for the modern state of the Emirates.
The union indicated that the late president promoted the values of tolerance, dialogue and love in all parts of the Emirates, and made his country a living model of leadership and excellence, adding that he had devoted himself to serving Arab and Islamic causes.
The Federation added that the late, God willing, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed will always be remembered as a great leader who called for love and peace among all peoples, praying to the Almighty God to bless him with his vast mercy.
