ACI elects BAC CEO as Secretary-Treasurer of Asia-Pacific Regional Board

Singapore, May 23 (BNA): Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) CEO Mohamed Yousef Al-Binfalah has been elected Treasurer of Airports Council International (ACI) to the Asia Pacific Council, the governing body that oversees the development of regional and financial policies. Management.


The announcement came during the first in-person meeting of the Board of Directors since the start of the pandemic, which was held in Singapore on the sidelines of the 17th session of the Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly (ACI).


The mixed event included physical and physical attendance and saw the board discuss issues affecting airports in the Asia Pacific region and the Middle East.


“It is a great honor to be elected to this key position in the ACI Regional Council for Asia and the Pacific,” Al-Binfalah said.


“I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of the organization. Working closely with other members of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors, I am eager to help develop and strengthen regional advocacy that benefits all airport operators under the ACI umbrella.”


Al-Binfalah congratulated Matarat for choosing to host the new sub-regional office of ACI Asia-Pacific in Riyadh.


“This decision will strengthen ACI’s regional presence and enable us to provide members with improved levels of service,” he said.


The assembly also saw the appointment of Emanuel Minanto as President of the Federation’s Regional Council, succeeding Seo Hyang Lee, CEO of Changi Airport Group, who had served as President of ACI Asia Pacific for the past four years and will remain part of the Board as the former immediate Chairman.

ACI represents global airports and their collective interests. Promotes professional excellence in airport management and operations and works closely with prominent aviation organizations such as the International Civil Aviation Organization and the International Air Transport Association to develop standards, policies and recommended practices.


The ACI Asia Pacific Regional Council represents the interests of 131 members who operate 617 airports in 49 countries in the Asia Pacific region and the Middle East.
